Controller

Compado GmbH, Uhlandstraße 171-172, 10719 Berlin, Germany, is the controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

How Compado handles your data

Compado takes the protection of its users' personal data very seriously and complies with the applicable data protection rules. Compado only processes your personal data when the law allows it or when you have given your consent.

When you send Compado a message or an email and ask for a reply, Compado has to process your personal data to answer you, so it treats such a message as your consent to that processing. Information you provide voluntarily, for example with a question or a job application, is used only to handle that request and is not passed on to third parties.

Information stored when you visit the website

Even when you only browse the website and do not provide any information yourself, your browser sends the following data to the server:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • the pages you visited
  • access status and HTTP status code
  • the website the request came from
  • browser
  • operating system and its interface
  • language and version of your browser

Compado processes this technically required data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, to keep the website stable and secure. The data is usually deleted as soon as the connection ends, but it can be kept in anonymised form in server log files under the same conditions.

Information you send directly

When you contact Compado by email, post or phone, your details, including the contact details in your message, are stored to process your request and to handle any follow-up questions. Compado treats your written request as consent to this processing, solely for answering it, and does not share this information with external third parties without your written consent.

A written message to datenschutz@compado.com or to the postal address above is enough to exercise these rights, for example to learn which information Compado stores about you or to have it removed. You also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data with a data protection supervisory authority.

When you follow a link on this website to another company's website, Compado cannot control which information that company collects from you or your browser. As far as Compado knows, the linked websites follow common privacy standards, but it is best to read their privacy policies as well.

Data transmitted over the internet, for example by email, can be exposed to security gaps. Complete protection of your data against access by third parties is not possible.
